Hi I’m Rob Faulkner and thanks for visiting my website.

I’ve worked in the UK Insurance Market for over 20 years, specialising in Business Development, Schemes and Product Management, InsurTech and Marketing.

I hold the following professional accreditation’s:

  • Chartered Insurance Practitioner
  • Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute
I also hold Digital Marketing qualifications from both the Institute of Data and Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
 
I currently lead the Insurance Practice for Software Solved a custom software and data provider.
 
I have also created, and now lead an innovative new startup called SurveyorTech operating at the intersection of InsurTech and PropTech.

My Experience

Business Development

Wherever I have worked, Business Development has always been a key theme, whether it be for an Insurer, Broker or Tech business.  I’ve been a top performing Business Development and Key Account Manager for a number of leading UK Insurance organisations during my insurance career including Allianz, Aviva, Brit, Towergate and JLT.  I have developed business in personal lines, small business and large corporate.  I’ve also secured, developed and managed a number of delegated authorities, schemes and portfolio transfers.

Schemes

I have a broad range of schemes experience as both an insurer and broker.  Whilst working for Insurers I have secured many successful schemes over the years.  I have developed, marketed and managed a wide range of schemes, new and existing, in both personal and  commercial lines, traded both on and offline.

Product Management

I have a solid understanding of insurance product management having managed managed many personal and commercial lines products.  I develop product files that inform decision making throughout the product life cycle, ensuring customer centricity, sustainable growth and profitability for both insurance carrier and broker.

Technology

My broad insurance and digital experience has benefited a number of technology businesses over the years.  I have worked for broker software houses, developing new product distribution, real time pricing and enrichment opportunities. 

I have also developed Insurance Comparison solutions during my time at Comparison Creator.

Right now, I lead the Insurance Practice for Software Solved providing custom software and data solutions to the Global Insurance Market.

InsurTech

I can see lots of InsurTech product opportunities right now.  I’m working on my first InsurTech for Software Solved called SurveyorTech which will initially improve the flow of risk management and loss control data between the broking and insurer market, both pre and post loss.

SurveyorTech provides brokers, insurers, risk consultants and claims professionals with the software to host live stream surveys, develop 360° risk walk-throughs, annotate risk observation and more using a combination of an App and Client portal.

Digital Marketing

I’ve always been interested in digital marketing.  I have a a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from the IDM and a CIM CAM Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing .

I have a solid understand of Digital Marketing Strategy and how this can be applied to the distribution of insurance either B2B or B2C.  I also have experience in SEO, keyword and online market research, competitor analysis, content marketing and supporting technology such as SEMRush, WordPress and Elementor.
